A best paintings show of 2008 is underway in Myanmar's former capital of Yangon, displaying 389 artistic works of famous artists.
The week-long exhibition, which lasts from Monday to Saturday, is aimed at ensuring the emergence of Myanmar fine arts in world contemporary arts activities with creative arts and the emergence of new generation arts, said the Tun Foundation Bank, the sponsor.
Meanwhile, a rare three-day single-child painting show was launched in Myanmar's northwestern city of Monywa earlier this month, displaying over 30 paintings of her own.
The only-9-year-old girl, Su Endara Htet, who is a primary school student of 4th standard, won awards in paintings.
Su stands the youngest child who held such single-person painting exhibition of its kind for the first time in Monywa, reflecting her own thought and idea.
Using her leisure time, Su learned arts of water-color, oil and computerized paintings when she was three years old.
