[Artron Exclusive] Council Charity Auction Begins Tonight, 47 Artists Wholeheartedly Support Event

Artron.net reports that on January 17th at 7 PM, the Charity Auction Night held by Council will take place 798 Arts District, at the Linda Gallery. This event is slated to auction off works donated by 47 artists.

Council’s Charity Auction will be attended by stars of the acting and sports realms, as well as numerous celebrity artists. The auction will employ the No Reserve policy. Beijing Council International Auction Co. Ltd will waive its auction commission – all proceeds will go to the United Nation’s World Food Programme (WFP), to fund its school feeding programs in China and Nepal.

Confirmed guests of the event include:

Xu Lei, Chen Wenling, Xu Jinglei, Cao Qi Tai, Li Ning, Shang Wenjie, Olympic gymnastics champion Feng Jiji, Olympic shooting champion Yangling, Olympic badminton champion Gao Ling, the Olympic women's volleyball champions Feng Kun et al. Artists participating in the auction (47 total): Zhang Xiaogang, Zhou Chunya, He Sen, Sui Jianguo, Chen Wenling, Song Kun, Peng Wei, Feng Zhengjie, Li Qing, Chen Yujun, Jiang Hongwei, Xu Lele, Yang Maoyuan, Huang Ming Jin, Liu Ye, Ding Guan Jia, Fang Lijun, Xu Lei, Qin Ai, Wang Guang Le, Yue Minjun, Qu Guang Ci, and others.

Special Note:

1.       This event will be a no reserve auction. Beijing Council International Auction Co. Ltd will waive its auction commission – all proceeds will go to the United Nation’s World Food Programme, to fund its school feeding programs in China and Nepal.

2.       Buyers may, once auctions have concluded, make a full payment for their auctions with the finance department, and receive their items on the spot. Otherwise, outstanding payments must be paid in full within 7 days, at which point their items will be delivered to them by the WFP.

3.       For the benefit of the bidders, please be sure to closely examine all items during the exhibition, and exercise caution when participating in the bidding process.

4.       In the event that a full payment is not made within the time limit, the organizer has the right to pursue liability charges against the buyer, in accordance with the Auction Law of the People's Republic of China.
