  站台中国当代艺术机构荣幸地宣布全权代理艺术家景柯文,并将于2025年北京当代艺术博览会呈现景柯文的个人项目《等待神仙》。

  本次项目源起于景柯文今年春天在终南山的一次写生。在退休的那一天起,他回到了母校西安美术学院老校区身处的风景中,也回到了他绘画中始终不曾远离的根基。这些记忆中兴国寺的大殿和古柏,似乎从未在他的精神家园中离开。终南山地处秦岭中段,近邻古长安。当他身着Supreme面对眼前情景时——无农药的小麦在浪涌,山鸡不怕人自在飞,天空上部是军机练飞时拉的多条白线,而突然闯入的羊群打破了原本的宁静。这一刻,他蓦地意识到:“等待已久的“神仙”即在眼前。

  景柯文面对的是眼前的风景,更是这片年少时熟知而未曾真正了解的承载着历史的土地。他画的是今天的视角、审美、经验和对于过去的认知。澄澈又和煦的山风吹过旷野,明媚、干净而纯粹的“美”不被遮掩地显露,这是一种关于“美好“的常识性的回归。

  这种“美”同样充盈在景柯文的生活中。他时常搭配一身大有来头的潮牌,工作室遍布着世界各地淘来的宝贝,还有分享不尽的收藏心得。这些收藏给了他审美的情境与去处,他买军品、潮牌、小玩具、老照片,都是在历史的当下最时髦最有精气神的物件,它们蕴藏着一个时代的美学和气息。在当下弥漫的关于“新”的价值追逐中,这种对于记忆的珍视与确信显得弥足珍贵。景柯文让自身沉浸于过往,画的却是昨天对今天的意义。

  我们曾经无数次地在这片土地上想象未来,想象过去。新中国的山水,就如同一场山河旧梦的崭新一页,每一缕春风都是新的。艺术家在时代的淤泥里淌过,而始终坚信着历史或许曾有着更好的选择。当人对历史不理解的时候,才开始理解它。同样的山野、同样的土地永远随着时间的轮转滚滚向前,但对于“善”和“美”的向往,在无论何时何地的改革与向新中都从不褪色。而神仙,往往是在最朴素的寻常中生长出来的期待,我们把更好的想象依托于此,成为一种在当下的超验时刻。神仙不会循规蹈矩地来,而是在不经意的时刻不期而遇。神仙在时代的每一个缝隙中,它回应着生命的进步和辽远。

  Platform China Contemporary Art Institute‌ is honored to announce its exclusive representation of artist ‌Jing Kewen‌, and will present his solo project "Waiting for an Immortal" at the 2025 Beijing Dangdai Art Fair.

  This project originates from Jing's plein-air painting experience this spring at ‌Zhongnan Mountain. From the day of his retirement, he returned to the landscape surrounding the old campus of his alma mater, ‌Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts, and to the artistic roots that have never left his practice. The main hall and ancient cypresses of ‌Xingguo Temple in his memory seem eternally present in his spiritual realm. Zhongnan Mountain, situated in the central ‌Qinling Mountains near ancient Chang'an, witnessed a revelatory moment when Jing, clad in Supreme streetwear, confronted this scene: organic wheat fields rippling like waves, pheasants soaring unafraid, military jets etching white trails across the sky, until suddenly a flock of sheep shattered the tranquility. In that instant, he suddenly realized: "The long-awaited 'immortal' is right before my eyes."

  Jing confronts not merely the immediate scenery, but the historical soil he knew in youth yet never truly comprehended. His paintings articulate contemporary perspectives, aesthetics, lived experiences, and interpretations of the past. As crystalline mountain breezes sweep the wilderness, a luminous, unadulterated "beauty" reveals itself without restraint—a return to fundamental truths about the "goodness".

  This "beauty" permeates Jing's daily life. The artist's sartorial ensembles deploy cult-status streetwear with deliberate precision, while his studio functions as a cabinet of curiosities brimming with carefully curated artifacts from global sojourns — each object accompanied by endless stories of provenance. His collecting praxis constructs an intricate ecology of aesthetic cognition: military surplus, designer collaborations, vintage ephemera, and vernacular photography coalesce as zeitgeist-capturing artifacts. These are not mere possessions, but vital repositories of period-specific vitality that encapsulate the aesthetic vernacular of their eras. In an age obsessed with novelty, such devotion to memory becomes radical. While immersing himself in bygone days, Jing ultimately paints yesterday's resonance in today's context.

  We have endlessly imagined futures and pasts upon this land. The landscapes of new China unfold like fresh chapters in an ancient topographical dream, where every spring breeze carries renewal. Wading through the silt of epochs, the artist maintains faith in history's alternative potentials. Understanding begins where comprehension falters. As familiar mountains and fields roll forward with time's wheel, aspirations for "goodness" and "beauty" remain vibrant through all reforms. The immortal, often sprouting from humble mundanity, embodies our highest hopes—a transcendent anchor in the present. Immortals never arrive by convention, but emerge unexpectedly. Dwelling in every crevice of our era, they echo life's boundless progression.

  景柯文,1965年生于青海省西宁市,1982年入西安美院油画系学习,1986毕业于西安美术学院油画系并留校任教至今,现居北京、西安。景柯文总能敏感地发觉照片里的美学变迁,这些不同时代的故事,不仅是宏大叙事以外的个人史,更有其动人的情感:那是一种乐观、幸福,以及抵达目标后,酝酿已久却突如其来的快乐,那是可被命名为“爱”的快乐:失望中的爱,落寞时的爱。在这“爱”中,你记得表情,记得蓝天,记得正午的阳光,它比事件和故事更接近人心。

  Jing Kewen, born in 1965 in Xining, Qinghai Province, entered the Oil Painting Department of Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts in 1982, graduating in 1986 and remaining as a faculty member thereafter. He currently resides in Beijing and Xi’an. Jing possesses an acute sensitivity to the evolving aesthetics captured in photographs, with narratives spanning eras that extend beyond grand histories into intimate personal chronicles imbued with profound emotional resonance—a quality of optimism, bliss, and long-nurtured yet sudden joy at attaining one’s aspirations, a joy that might be termed "love": love amid disillusionment, love amidst solitude. Within this "love," one recalls expressions, cerulean skies, and the radiance of midday sunlight—elements that pierce the human heart more deeply than events or stories themselves.
