"Brainstorming: Qiu Zhijie and Total Art Studio" is the name of the new exhibition by Chinese contemporary artist Qiu Zhijie . A graduate from Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts, Qiu is considered one of the leading figures of China’s new generation of artists and has been the driving force behind many art movements in the country.
He works primarily in video and photography. Common themes in his works are social fragmentation and transience, as well as the struggle between the forces of destiny and self-assertion. This exhibition is divided into four parts: “Attachment”, “Brainstorming”, “Games” and “Spying”. The works are composed of a number of media including video, sound recordings, photography etc.
