Introduction
HYBIRD is a concept style based on popular Syber punk, and post-apocalypse, it’s an art language that mixed nature elements, artificial items、creatures、futuristic, old world tech and so on. Longque Chen and Dunhuang Chen developed their syber punk style that brought an unique, unknown, and miraculous universe named HYBIRD to audiences.
Longque Chen, an artist with product design background, like borrowing nature elements from real world, then turning them into hard surface, industrial design. The final concept looks not just functional, structural and rational, but so much entertainment and fun still maintained. From his art of Creature City series, audiences can see those mechanical creatures with Chinese architecture on its back or being part of their body. Beside, you can see how Longque rebuild vehicles by using existed old wold junks. All those dead airplanes are alive again, help people living in ruined, hopeless world.
Dunhuang Chen focused on Sci-fi gaming concept design. Most of his arts contain large popular anime elements from nowadays. They are beautiful combinations of fresh and machines. These such designs made cyborg characters more like a living industrial machine, they are vivid creatures with full of industrial beauties. These characters styles are various that From ancient Greek sculpture to modern cyberpunk, they are made by following rigorous logic and rules, and Filled with the cool gorgeousness of cyberpunk. They are the Era portrait.
Longque Chen and Dunhuang Chen, they focused on their own direction, one is more industry, hard surface and another is more character. But their works together brought a fantastic, unknown, amazing universe.
